Deep from the cheese-filled vaults of Nacho Donut, we present to you the happenings of this past weekend:
- The Cavaliers won two big road games, in the midst of a four-games-in-five-nights road trip. Friday night, the Cavs slapped around the Spurs 97-86 in San Antonio. The final score looks a lot closer than the game was, as the Cavs basically made the Spurs look like they sit down when they pee. The wine and gold followed this up with an 88-87 win Sunday night in Atlanta against a young, aggressive, and currently fourth place in the Eastern Conference Hawks. Not the greatest show of offensive prowess in the second half, but a road win is a road win and I’ll take it.
- In a sign of how far we have fallen as a nation, “Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail” was once again tops at the box office. Some think the Dow plunging below 7,000 is a better indicator, but I beg to differ. However, I’ve heard that laughter is the best medicine, so we must not be ailing after all.
- I watched The Squid and the Whale and loved it. Very well written with excellent characters. The younger son had me laughing out loud! My favorite line had to be, “Suck my dick, assman” after his dad totally cheated to beat him at ping-pong. Priceless.
